Some say that Hezbollah is looking to capture and abduct a CNN reporter as a hostage. This should come as no surprise to anyone since the Lebanese president will soon be meeting with Condoleezza Rice. After Dr. Rice meets with the Lebanese president she will then talk with Israel and see if she can negotiate a cease-fire and in doing so her goal will be to prevent World War III and a possible escalation of this current Israeli-Hezbollah war. Currently neither side wishes to have a cease-fire.
Unfortunately, the president of Lebanon has said that Israel invades Lebanon then the Lebanese army will join forces with Hezbollah to fight Israel. This means Israel will now have to wipe out the Lebanese army as well. Apparently this is not a problem for Israel and they are willing to do that. So far Israel has now flown 1800 sorties and fired over 25,000 rounds at targets in Lebanon. Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel, which have been donated to them by Iran and brought in through Syria.
CNN reporters are both in Israel and Lebanon reporting live feed of the battle and neither side wants them around, but CNN has become part of war and part of the propaganda as well. Reporters from CNN are now potential targets of Hezbollah if Lebanon makes a cease-fire deal with Israel. No one knows if Hezbollah will honor a cease-fire, as international terrorists organizations do not care about killing innocent life, as a matter of fact they specialize in it. Consider this in 2006.
