So since I am addicted to the Internet I read all the hype about the big upcoming online debate. So the day of the big show I decided to log in on my laptop. Have to watch the online debate online right?! It starts up and didn’t take me long to realize this was a format that worked.

I loved the pointedness of the questions that you never get in a typical debate. Direct questions from people directly effected by the topic they are asking a question about. It’s a very powerful thing and it separates the man from the boys (and wherever Hillary fits into that old adage.) It forces the candidates to see a human who is suffering from something or feeling discriminated against in some way. It makes America human again. Some of the candidates still gave canned responses that they give everyday at every event. Others though I thought rose to the challenge and were a little more forthright. This is how I think each performed:

**Disclaimer–These are my opinions, not influencing by any big lobby money or promise of cabinet position. I have also decided to go from left to right in the interest of fairness. I have also used a rating system of 1-5 for your entertainment ratings are on overall performance not how I felt about their particular statements.

Mike Gravel–4–This guy always shoots from the hip so he performed as usual, which is still far more candid than most of the other candidates. Although I don’t see him as a serious candidate in this race I do like to have him around to spice things up. He constantly calls his competiters liars. His signature line is “follow the money” his take on what the other candidates will give you. His theory see who gave them the largest contributions and that should tell you how policy will be set. It’s probably a very good guideline.

Christopher Dodd–1–This is one of the candidates who gave very canned responses. We didnt get to know anything about anything, just random campaign lines. Probably the reason he doesn’t have any money and scores in single digits in polls. BORING!

John Edwards–3–There is just something about him I can’t put my finger on it. He’s southern I am southern that usually goes far with me. Most of the time I think he says all the right things but I just don’t trust him. His answers in the debate last night gave me that same feeling.

Hillary Clinton–3–I had the same problem with Hillary last night that I usually do. I like her, I wouldn’t even be disappointed if she was President but she seems to sit in the middle. I think people should be what they are she is a democrat and should start acting like one. I thought although she was not particularly comfortable it seemed with this format, she still did well I think.

Barack Obama–5–I thought Barack did the best overall he seemed comfortable with the format and answering the average joes questions. And each time asked a question he answered the question. In fact the last question asked each person to say something positive and something negative about the person to the left. He was the only person to fully answer the question with a negative. I think they should be trying more to distinguish themselves from each other. That is kind of the whole point of the debate. Without that it just comes down to who collects the most money. Sorry back to Barack he was definitely my winner of the night.

Bill Richardson–4–I thought Bill did OK. I think he often bring good ideas to the table and last night was no exception. I also thought he seemed very comfortable with the format.

Joe Biden–2–I would say second only to Dodd he was least comfortable with the format. He seemed outdated and even at one point called a video blogger crazy. Seems like he might need some anger management. The guy was a gun nut. I personally don’t like guns and don’t want anything to do with him but it is that guys America same as mine and he is entitled to ask his question and not be called names by a Presidential candidate.

Dennis Kucinich–4–Let me start by saying I really like this guy. He means well I just think he is somewhat naive. I like a lot of his ideas but they seem like a radical jump in most cases and that is not always good either. Kinda like Biden he can’t represent enough of America to be a good President.

So anyway, that’s my opinion. No Hate Speech Please. If you want to post your rating of each candidate do it on my blog at http://clisdown.blogspot.com/ Would love to hear more takes.

How can I watch ABC, CBS, FOX, CNN, and NBC TV channels on my computer

Folks have now discovered a new and revolutionary way to get to watch favorite TV channels from the major TV network channels like CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, BBC and FOX TV. This is by the use of a satellite TV program that is installed in your computer and helps you access over 3000 TV stations. The satellite TV software for computers is retailed online and the download takes less than 2 minutes to download and install in your PC.

The best aspect of this software is that it has a very high quality picture and sound just like the usual digital TV channels. Most of these TV network channels have started online TV services for their free to air programs which includes TV shows, drama series, and classical old movies, sports channels, shopping channels, educational TV stations and news. The free to air online TV channels offered by these North American stations are best viewed through a broadband internet connection.

What You Need To Watch the Major American TV Networks Online

In order to start watching seamless TV channels on your PC you will need a computer with at least Pentium III and a speed of 300 MHz. The speed is necessary to be able to stream flawless TV broadcasting into your PC. The processor should also have a virtual memory of 500 RAM to be able to hold the video picture without stalling.

A high speed broadband internet connection is advisable. Anything less will only has a lot of interruptions. Most European, Asian and American cities are connected with broadband internet and this need not worry you at all.

Usually satellite internet TV needs some minutes for buffering. This is where your selected TV channels is downloaded to your computer processor for viewing. In most cases therefore you will need to access the channels some 10 or so minutes before airing time of your favorite TV show.

Computer Satellite TV Program Download For NBC, CBS, FOX TV Shows

You will need to make a small set up payment for a PCTV software that enables your computer to access these online TV channels from major TV networks. Please visit my website and click on the beautiful girl’s banner at the top to download the software and watch satellite TV in 2 minutes flat.

“God’s Warriors,” produced and recently aired by CNN should serve as a wake-up call to anyone wondering why the world is in such a state of political, social and religious turmoil. Based upon interviews conducted by Christiane Amanpour who traveled the globe to talk to Jewish, Muslim and Christian “warriors,” the documentary exposes why organized religions are one of the major divisive forces on the planet.

As the show stated, in their drive to save the world, these religions have caused deep divisions. While emphasis was placed upon the fundamentalist elements of these faiths, it is clear that even the mainstream is just as responsible for the great religious divide. According to Amanpour, fundamentalists in these various faiths have become a political force with the aim of re-making society in their own image and to bring God back into power over the affairs of man. With a campaign against the “evils’ modern secularism, their activities have created unprecedented fear and division.

The basic questions raised are obvious. If God does not impose its will upon humanity, what makes these people think they should do it for God? If each is acting according to some divine will, then why are they killing and condemning each other? Is there more than one divine will? In his review of the novel, “Waking God,” Christopher Friesen of BookPleasures.com asked, “What if every Truth you had ever been told was really a mosaic of falsehoods? What if every religious institution that preached salvation was actually an agent of oppression?” These topics are the focal point of that novel and they are the focal point of Amanpour’s reporting in “God’s Warriors.” It is taught that you cannot take heaven by force, yet, that is exactly what fundamentalists seem to be preaching.

What about the mainstream faithful? In each religion extremism is denounced by religious leaders. They say that they abhor the violence. While the words of denouncement come easy, you can certainly know them by their deeds. What are religious leaders doing to stop the violence and hatred? It would seem that very little is being done. If Muslim leaders condemned extremists’ actions and threatened to remove those guilty of such actions from the faith I would imagine we would see a great reduction in terrorism. If evangelical ministers proclaimed violent actions a sin and actively condemned such actions, perhaps there would be a little less hate. The problem is that both Christian and Muslim leaders are seeking to spread their ideas and impose their version of moral authority on the rest of the world. Judaism departs from the others in this category. In an essential elitist fashion, Jews do not seek to convert others or to spread their faith. They really just want to be left alone to live in peace in what they claim to be their Holy Land. Yes, they commit violent acts but not with the intent of converting the world to their faith.

In a book titled, “When the Church Leaves the Building,” by David Frederickson we see that there is a growing movement from those who are spiritually oriented to abandon the religions of their fathers. It is asked on their web site, familyroommedia.com “Is it possible that the Church Christ promised to build looks different than much of what we call ‘church’ today?” It is estimated that millions of former churchgoers have left the building in search of a more meaningful and personal relationship with their God. The growing disdain for the violence perpetuated by extremists and the lack of action to prevent such action by religious leaders may one day be their undoing.

Amanpour says that we must take note of the actions of religious extremists because they have infiltrated and in many cases control the political debate in many nations. In my mind, there is no question that she is right. These institutions are pitting brother against brother in a power struggle aimed at molding the world in their image. Their actions and words imply that Divine Intelligence is incapable of dealing with the affairs of man or that they are the arm of that Intelligence as “God’s Warriors.” What kind of God needs warriors? What kind of God would sanction car bombing women and children or blowing up health clinics? And, which God is right: the God of the Jews or the God of the Muslims? It makes no sense.

Bestselling author and inspirational speaker, Dr. John Demartini, in an interview printed in the new book, “Jesus Taught It, Too: The Early Roots of the Law of Attraction” had the following to say about religions: “When we subordinate ourselves to the religious system, we basically stop opening our religious heart. If there is a divine order, divine intelligence and divine love and divine wisdom and beauty in everything, then where is God not?” It is clear that “God’s Warriors” do not ascribe to this philosophy. Their passion for violence, hatred and contempt for those of differing opinions are typified in their actions and deeds. It is clear that we need to listen to the message that was contained in the CNN report. These people want and have power and will do anything to spread and impose their views on others. As a major character in the novel, “Waking God” says, “It is not about saving humanity and never has been.” What is required is a ‘great awakening’ where humanity begins to take responsibility for the world in which we live.

Some say that Hezbollah is looking to capture and abduct a CNN reporter as a hostage. This should come as no surprise to anyone since the Lebanese president will soon be meeting with Condoleezza Rice. After Dr. Rice meets with the Lebanese president she will then talk with Israel and see if she can negotiate a cease-fire and in doing so her goal will be to prevent World War III and a possible escalation of this current Israeli-Hezbollah war. Currently neither side wishes to have a cease-fire.

Unfortunately, the president of Lebanon has said that Israel invades Lebanon then the Lebanese army will join forces with Hezbollah to fight Israel. This means Israel will now have to wipe out the Lebanese army as well. Apparently this is not a problem for Israel and they are willing to do that. So far Israel has now flown 1800 sorties and fired over 25,000 rounds at targets in Lebanon. Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel, which have been donated to them by Iran and brought in through Syria.

CNN reporters are both in Israel and Lebanon reporting live feed of the battle and neither side wants them around, but CNN has become part of war and part of the propaganda as well. Reporters from CNN are now potential targets of Hezbollah if Lebanon makes a cease-fire deal with Israel. No one knows if Hezbollah will honor a cease-fire, as international terrorists organizations do not care about killing innocent life, as a matter of fact they specialize in it. Consider this in 2006.

As if things were not bad enough for the FOX News Network now due to the Israeli-Hezbollah war being fought in Southern Lebanon CNN has its ratings soaring like never before. CNN ratings are up nearly 400% since the fighting began 25 days before. It appears that the Arms Trade Business Industry is not the only industry, which makes big bucks off of the tragedy of war as humans slaughter their own kind?

One has to ask in all this one certain question and that is we know it is in the best interest of CNN that the war continue, with no cease-fires as it gives them over a month to talk about it. If further escalation erupts with Syria or Iran, well that is even better for the News Media, as it expands the entire pie or number of viewers as well as the those for record breaking CNN. So, now then isn’t it in CNNs best interest and its shareholders to further help escalate the sound and fury of mankind?

And too that point all this war signifying nothing that we already do not know; that is to say that mankind is a barbarian; it only stands to reason that CNN will report the most horrific scenes to further promote more war in a self-serving cycle of human violence. Interesting philosophical thought on war is it not? Consider all this in 2006.
